Even though she was not brought out till 7 months of age, with very limited showing, she finished her Canadian Championship at the tender age of 10 months, racking up a Best Puppy in All-Breed Sweepstakes, numerous Puppy in Breed’s, several Puppy in Group’s, and even a Group Placing! Thank goodness the judges were able to look past the ineptness of the novice owner handlers on her lead, and see the quality that shines through in this beautiful girl!

Her show career as an adult special was very selective and limited, but boy did she thrill us even then. Geography dictated that whenever we brought her out, she inevitably went head-to-head with the top Boxer in the country, and while she may not have beaten them, she always made them work for their wins. In addition to several Best of Opposite Sex to such spectacular dogs, she has also gathered several group placings as an adult.

Her next big adventure was the US show scene, where not only did she have an absolute blast in the wonderful care of Debbie and Erin Struff and Carol Josephson, she thrilled us by picking up 9 points, including a spectacular 5 point win on the highly competitive January Florida circuit! She has since won several reserves to 3, 4 and 5 point majors, but it seems those remaining points are being a little too elusive right now.

Since Paige has always been our beloved pet first and foremost, when she started showing signs of being weary of life on the road, we made the decision to bring her home, regardless of how close she may have been to finishing. We hope to be able to show her ourselves at shows that are within driving distance to obtain the last few points that she needs, but either way, the quality of this girl is evident to all who meet her and are captured by her wonderful personality.

Paige has been heart tested clear with both an Echo Doppler and a holter, tested negative for Hip Dysplasia and had a full panel thyroid done with clear results. However, after a heartbreaking and rather rattling experience from her first failed breeding in 2006, her breeding future remains unclear at this time.

In the meantime, Paige is having a blast enjoying her back yard, playing with her Boxer brother, being the doted and spoiled daddy’s girl that she always has been, and winning the hearts of every visitor we, I mean, SHE has :)

Her latest challenge has been learning the ropes of the obedience world as we tackle Rally-O together. Stay tuned to see our "Blondie" show that she has both beauty AND brains! :)
